Size limitation on NSQL queries?

Does anyone know of a size limitation on NSQL queries? We have a very big query that we use to populate a portlet - it functions as a data extract for us to use on Excel spreadsheets. I have had to make some updates to the query which is adding a bit to the length and now when I paste the new query into my NSQL update screen and click "Save and Continue" the page just sits there processing for a long time before it returns this error message:
[CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 10016 bytes (kkoCreatePhyOp,apppred : kkotbalp)...

For reference purposes, this query exceeds 300 pages when pasted into a Word document. There are just shy of 300 columns returned, and 300 or so rows.
