TIM Trace SSL Errors - Error Codes

We have an issue with a couple of CEM business services not being monitored. We are running parallel installations for the moment with CEM 4.2 and APM 9.1.5. In APM 9.1.5 the TIM is not reporting the traffic for a couple of the business services (where the CEM instance is). We believe we have the right Private Key file installled. We turned on the TIM Trace Option to Trace SSL errors - and we are getting:

Warning: sslinterface: network_process_packet: error 7 (bad data), conn 9911713, packet 1257146987, [101.129.4.221]:63657->[208.61.142.103]:443; ignoring further data

types of messages. Where can I find a more descriptive explanation of what error 7 is - other than it is 'bad data'. Is this an indication that the private key is wrong, or that the network is delivering bad data? For that matter is there a good reference anywhere for the error codes we might see from turning on the 'Trace SSL errors' configuration?
