General debugging logs

One of the teams seems to have a problem getting a JASPER PDF report served to the client through Siteminder. What kind of basic logs would one request for in this scenario assuming we don't have control over only the browser and the Java WebSphere application server ? The intervening DataCenter is out of bounds at this time.

Is a fiddler report sufficient for initial debugging ?
