    Hi
There is OOTB functionality to send email to particular email address and you can feed these emails in Service desk using email eater.

Go to Management Module Editor->Elements->New Action->New SMTP Mail Action

Then add this action to the alert for which you want to send mail.

If you want to send more details about the alert you can use "Custom Email Formatter" field pack which you can find in community documents.

Please go through these threads it might help you:-

    Hello Manirul,
Thanks for your help.I followed your instructions and read the threads.I can send email to particular email address with "New Send SMTP Mail Action"

Now I tried to create "New Shell Command Action" with "Custom Email Formatter" to send more details of alert. The shell command did not run.

CustomEmailer command script is also not running when i manually executed in cmd .It can not read or find the jar file.I put three files (CustomEmailer command script,CustomEmailer jar, email.properties) under EM_Home.

    My EM_Home in email.properties is =C:\Program Files\CA APM\Introscope9.1.0.2.

There is a space between Program Files and CA APM as you can see above. The command cannot go further as there is space. For Program Files I know its Progra~1 (32 bit) but how to resolve the space between "CA APM" is out of my knowledge.

    how to get resolved?

    Kindly help me.

To view 8.3 format names on Windows, use:
     dir /x

    Hi Nishika,

Try giving the folder name within double quotes --> CA APM as " CA APM".

    Thanks,
    Sunil

    Hi Nishika,

Open the CustomEmailer.cmd and just check the directories. Also as Sunil mentioned, include the dir in double quotes.
I would also like to mention, dont use double quotes in Mangement Module command shell as it already takes the parameters in double quotes.

    Vaibhav

    Hi Nishika,

You can send mail to more than one e-mail address as below :-

In the SMTP Email Action , Enter the recipient name in the To: field (can be a single e-mail address, or multiple addresses separated by commas).

    Thanks,
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
Thank you for your reply.I sent mail to multiple addresses using SMTP mail action.I was trying with Custom Email Formatter but it did not worked.Maybe Custom Email Formatter does not support sending mail to multiple addresses.

I'd recommend creating a mailing/distribution list. The FieldPack conforms to SMTP specifications so it only accepts a single email address.
