  • 1.  Approving Timesheets

    Hi All,

We have requirement to approve the time sheets on every Friday.

So we have done the following things.

    1. We have created one custom object as we need to check for each resource. (Custom object is to hold the team details as we can't write process on Resource Object)
    2. Identified the Team members and sent the notification to submit the time sheets
    3. Once the time sheet submitted, notification will be sending to Project manager with Approved & Rejected options.
    4. once they approved, we need to approve time sheets automatically.

We are clear with above 3 steps. We are not clear, how to handle 4th step.

    Any help would be appreciable.

    Thanks

    Hello Madhuri,

You can acheive 4th step by creating a new process with 'timesheet' as primary object and auto-start conditions checking the approval from project managers.

You can actually look at the 'Project Manager Approval ' OOTB process for this, which includes both step 3 and step 4 for better understanding.

We have done this in the past. It worked very well. But one must always remember to really plan out the process flow first.

When they are all there  ready for approval the PMO staff could approve them manually without giving a further  thought to it ;-)
