It is just ERD, but also there is no reference about the JOB tables since r7.
Just wondring again why were they dropped.
The job tables were not dropped. Those tables were marked as internal tables that we felt it didn't need be added to the technical reference.
THanks for commenting.
I know the tables were not dropped just the info in the tech ref.
Looking at the dates that seems to happened right after when you joine CA in 2005,- don't tell me you were involved ;-)
I do think that many of the on premise Clarity admins feel they are necessary as when jobs and reports do not run smoothly. They want to know what jobs ran, how long did the run last and were they completed. See
Dropping the logging from most of the jobs did not help in that respect. It was certainly welcomed by the "admins" who did not think it was necessary to clear the log entries at all.
The challenge I have right now is that
This table contains information for scheduled jobs.
This table contains the information about executed jobs.
The first one lists the jobs that are scheduled and the second one the scheduled runs if the logging is enabled. However, if I run eg Post timesheets immediately whith no schedule a record is created in the first CMN_SCH_JOBS but not in CMN_SCH_JOB_RUNS as I should expect. Even worse with timeslicing. I can only see that in query results while the job is running, but when it is done it disappears and further more if I create a portlet for the jobs that rän I don't see time slicing at all.
I should like to have those tables back in tech ref and further detailed when a job or a report is run and maybe the report scheduled where exactly are records created for the run.
Very true ! Thanks Martti for bringing this up
I am not able to see the Jobs ERD in this thread. Is it lost after the communities went JIVE?
Can someone restore it OR can you please post it again here another_martink ?
