After upgrading to a new release of IDMS you may encounter program checks in module IDMSOINX. Abends in IDMSOINX are usually due to using and old version of the SYSCA.ODBC_INDEX table procedure. This applies when upgrading to both 18.0 and 18.5 from a release prior to 17.0. It could also happen if you upgrade from 17.0 but the SQL views and table procedures were never upgraded at that release.

There are 3 members in the CAGJSAMP library that contain the updated SQL views and table procedures. You will need to run IDMSBCF with one or more of these members depending on what release you upgraded from:

VIEW15U - Contains views changed for release 15.0
VIEW16U2 and VIEW16U3 - Contains views changed for release 16.0
VIEW17U - Contains views changed for release 17.0

The modification to the SYSCA.ODBC_INDEX table procedure is contained in member VIEW16U3.

Another thing you may need to do is to run IDMSBCF to do a CONVERT CATALOG to upgrade catalogs from earlier releases. There has been no change from 17.0 but if you upgraded from a previous release you will need to do this. It does not hurt to run a CONVERT CATALOG even when it is not needed so you may want to run it anyway.
