    CA Tuesday Tip: Do not use TAF (TRANSPARENT APPLICATION FAILOVER) mode for Oracle RAC by Stacey Ruggiero Sr. Support Engineer 10/22/2013

    Autosys recommends not using TAF mode for RAC
    clusters with 11.0 and above releases.

    Non recoverable errors occur during a node
    failover:

    ORA-25408: can not safely replay call
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Good news!!!

     

    TAF (Transparent Application Failover) feature in Oracle is now supported by the latest Autosys, CA Workload Automation AE version 11.3.6 SP7.
