Disaster Recovery Site Installation

Hi. How are folks setting up their AutoSys Disaster Recovery (DR) sites (on Linux, with Oracle DB)?

We plan to install DR using following approach:

    1. Install the AutoSys products in the DR site using standalone Oracle DB. (The installation apps require writable access to DB during installation (at least the scheduler and WCC)
    2. Test it works with standalone DB
    3. Repoint DR AutoSys to the production mirrored DB.

Are there any gotchas with this approach?

Can this be done with both the scheduler and WCC or only the scheduler?

If we cannot replicate WCC not a big problem as we can easily re-create the Views / Reports in WCC DR site if needed; however we really need the DR scheduler to work off a production mirrored DB so DR has full job history and could pick up at point where production failed if a disaster occurred.

What about taking a disk image of the production AutoSys install and using that as the DR server? One issue is with the DR hostnames; perhaps we can use etc/hosts file to map production hostnames to the DR equivalent.

Thanks in advance for any advice / experience with this.
