    Hi,

I have installed the APM 9.5 java agent, we are using WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5, Java SDK 1.7. I have configured the agent to use the websphere-typical.pbl.

As part of the default configuration the Socket Tracing has been enabled in the toggles-typical.pbd, yet no Socket metrics come through. If I switch it to use the pre-9.0 "managed socket" configuration, the socket metrics come through to the collector.

Is there something additional I need to configure in order for the default Socket Tracer to work?

    Jackie.

Last I knew JDK 7 was not support on Agent release 9.5. Am I wrong?

You’re correct. JRE 1.7 will be supported with our upcoming 9.5.5 release tentatively planned for mid January 2014.

Thank you for you answer. I switch the WebSphere Application Server Java SDK to 1.6 and the socket tracer is now reporting metrics.
