AS i dont remember very well ... i will ask.
Is there any form of create an action by triggering an error?
From my understanding, you are trying to integrate your actions with some particular types of errors like HTTP 401 error etc.
I will suggest you to go for errordetector. In errors.pbd use tracers like "HTTPerrorCodeReporter" to track http errors from jsp or servlets. If you dont enable errordetector, and you want to include this tracer in custom.pdb;then you will not be able to get error message. So enabling error detector is recommended.
Hope this helps you!
the error appear on the error tracer, the problem is when it appears in that section create an alert for that so it shows (in workstation for example) a window with Http 401 has occurred!!!
this is what we want
So do you mean - you want the error message into your alert ?
as simply as you are saying
So from my understanding, it is not possible.
Introscope provides only "errors per Interval" metric to keep a track by setting an alert over it.
What can be achieved is, you can set particular type of error for particular class\method of the application and provide it a seperate path in the Investigator.
For e.g. you can set HTTP error tracer for your application class and provide a seperate path in the investigator like Custom|Apps|HTTPerrors:errors per Interval.
Thus you can keep a track of the number of similar types of errors but not the data of those errors in your alert. Since this data is stored in the Transaction Event DB, so you need to query each time you want to know the errors data.
Hope that answers to your question.
it answer yes
but with no result. that is why i knew and i wanted to know if someone has made some kind of plugin for asking to the transaction event db by command line for error so i can match the last result with the alert and send email .... i dont think that no? query to transaction database is not possible.
it should be open that kind of things.
Marking as answered.
