GEL: XOG Read - No Route to Host

We are using an on-demand environment.

Have successfully incoporated XOG within GEL processes to WRITE data to objects. However, now when we attempt to use XOG READ we get the error message:

"<soap:invoke> Failed to send a SOAP message generated to ''.No route to host"

Even though we use exact same logic to retrieve the host URL. (for eg; <core:invokeStatic method="getInstance" className="com.niku.union.config.ConfigurationManager" etc etc)

The reason why we are using XOG Read is because we need to extract and read the contents of a Large String attribute. Retrieving a Large String value direct from the database using DBMS_LOB has limitations. (Have to loop if the size exceeds 4000 chars).

Any feedback appreciated.
