Hi Friends,

Can a schedule created in OWB be opened in MSP after changing the scheduler format? if this is really possible, do i need to make any additional changes to the MSP once the schedule gets opened in MSP?

There is nothing to stop you from doing that.

What people are saying is that don't expect to exactly the same schedule you created in OWB to open in MS Project. You might be live through that once if you are prepared to accept that. If you make changes in MS Project you should not open it any more in OWB or you can kiss good by your planning work.
