I need to do a dashboard to CA service desk. Anybody already created a dashboard for service desk?
What do you measured? I want ideas please.
Thank you very much. Regards
I thought I had responded to this a few days ago, but it doesn't look like it posted.
I wrote recently wrote a FieldPack to get web engine statistics from CA Service Desk using EPAgent. If you're interested in using this, please contact your CA Services or Pre-Sales rep and have them get this to you.
we use mainly alerts on frontends, backends and webservices (Metrics are Average Response Time, Response Per Intervall, Errors Per Intervall, SOAP Faults and Stall Counts). Than we will drill deeper to the actual metric showing graphs. There is also an intresting Management Module "SOA Performance Management" that gives intresting dashboards using type views, showing ie "Most Critical Operations".
hope that helps
Thank you for your reply and sugestions Robert.
How do you collect information from backends?
which is the agent that you use?
Thank you. Regards.
I have to check with the implementation guys but I think we use only Java Agents (will have to wait till next week). So Webservices, Backend and Frontend is part of my Investigator tree with the standard Blame metrics.
You can find a lot of informations about metrics in the power points from David (lock at the Discussion "RE: Agent and metric monitoring in CA APM(9.1.5)" down at the bottom you can download the files.
OK, thanks Robert, I wait for next week.
I don't found information about backends in agents that I install. I installed tomcat agent, EPAgent and WEb server agent with IIS component.
Thank you for your sugestion, but I needed the metrics about service desk.

You can use my FieldPack to get information from the SD web engines.
Please contact CA Services or Sales for a copy. If they can't find it, message me directly and I'll get it to you.
Thank you for your sugestion.
I don't find the mail for contact the CA Services sorry. Can you send me the FieldPack please?
Regards, André Oliveira
we use only Java Agents (CA manual https://supportcontent.ca.com/cadocs/0/CA%20Application%20Performance%20Management%20as%20a%20Service%201%200-ENU/Bookshelf_Files/HTML/APM_Java_Agent_Implem_EN/index.htm ) basically out of the box - that's what I was told.
I guess you use .NET agents since you use IIS.
Ok Robert, thanks.
Marking as answered.
