UserID with backslash for multi-domain settings in PAM variables

Hi Community,

i´m new with PAM and need some help about variables in processes in PAM.

In our environment we have PAM 4.2 and EEM with multi-domain settings. We use this format for login:  domain\user  . As far as i know the backslash is an escape character. Everytime a variable, for example "SLCM_AssigneeIDList", is filled with the "domain\user" and is then passed to an operator for use, the value turns into "domainuser" without the backslash -> the proccess  fails (wrong userID in SOAP call). Is there some solution or workaround known to use this format with backslash for UserIDs without getting these problems?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
