adding hosts to cluster using vSphere: certificate issues

I'm working with a client who wants to be able to automate moving an ESX host from one cluster to another for a temporary increase in capacity.

I have put the host in maintenance mode, disconnected it, and removed it from the cluster. Then I try to add it to the other cluster, or even to readd it to the same cluster, and I encounter an error: "Authenticity of the host's SSL certificate is not verified".

When I attempt to do so in vCenter, it prompts with an override option. The vSphere operators have no way to override. :-(

I've reviewed some of the solutions to this error online, and I'm thinking about creating a script to reset the certs everytime we remove the host from cluster. Has anyone else had to deal with this or come up with a better strategy?

Thanks.
