migration to LINUX/Tomcat

We are exploring migration of our current Clarity v13.2 implementation from WAS 8.5/AIX to Linux/Tomcat…

In order to get it stood up, at least out-of-the-chute (with the fine tuning of the JVM, etc. to come later), would it be just a simple matter of creating a .tar file with the file structure from one of our AIX implementations (one level above the clarity home directory to catch the tomcat stuff), and extracting it at the Linux server, or is there more to it than that?

Our DB runs on SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition.

Has anyone else out there performed this and if so, Any advice, or things to look out for?

Any and all input is appreciated.

Thanks!
