Discussion created by brafr04 Employee on Apr 14, 2014

On behalf of CA Technologies, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly announce updated releases and maintenance for our products.

Today, we are pleased to announce the availability of CA Process Automation 4.2 SP01.  This Service Pack includes all maintenance published prior to this update.  By installing this Service Pack, you ensure that your systems are current on maintenance for 4.2.  Please note that with the release of this Service Pack, the CA Process Automation 4.2 0000 media will no longer be available for download.  This Service Pack addresses several key issues and enhancements including, but not limited to, the following:

Support for Oracle(JDK/JRE)7u51:  JDK/JRE 7u51 no longer supports self-signed jars with the default security settings.  In order to allow new agents and orchestrators to be installed with this version of the JDK/JRE without having to alter Java security settings, we have signed and repackaged the core and connector jars for PAM.

Upgrade of 3.1 Service Desk Manager based Custom Operators: Previously, custom operators based on the Service Desk Manager connector that were built in 3.1.x versions of CA Process Automation would sometimes encounter issues when trying to execute within a 4.2 installation.  This issue has been addressed in 4.2 SP1.

Enhancement of Simplified Agent Communications:  The simplified communications model has been enhanced to better support concurrent restart of agents as well as to better scale with agents using secure mode of communications.
