We are often asked when clients are upgrading to Common Services 14.1, is it absolutely necessary to upgrade to release 11.6 of CA Easytrieve as well?
The answer is this:
If you are licensed for the full product of CA Easytrieve, then you may stay at release 6.4 and continue to enjoy the functionality provided by the entire product at that release.
We certainly encourage you to upgrade at your earliest convenience to release 11.6.
If, however, you are not licensed for the full CA Easytrieve product, then you will need to install CA Easytrieve release 11.6 from Support Online.
Please remember that with Common Services 14.1, CA Easytrieve does require a separate installation and is not just a component included with Common Services.
