How to set an OBS attribute as "Required"

Is it possible to set an OBS attribute as a required field?

We're using an OBS called "Development Group" for security. For example, resources who are assigned to group "1" can only see projects that are classified as group "1". We allow our users to create projects, and sometimes they hit [Submit] before they've entered the OBS group assignment. Then they can't see their projects until someone with admin rights makes the correction for them.

I know how to set the "required" property for object attributes, but can someone guide me on how to set that same property for OBS attributes?
