Assuming you have an Application with multiple Events defined and you want the Application to show the Event names/generation number in the Application monitor view as against Application name/generation number, you can use a Symbolic variable in the Application Runtime name field to give the Application a different name or alias when triggered.

For example, if an Application has multiple Events, you can use the built-in Symbolic variable "APPL._eventname" in the Application property "Runtime name" field. When the Events get triggered, different Runtime name using the Event name are created for each application generation.

Steps to define the Application:
1. In the Application Workspace in Define perspective, click Properties
2. Enter built-in Symbolic variable %APPL._eventname in the "Runtime name" field and click Ok
3. Re-upload the Application

Have a great week!
