    [size=6] How do you determine the ITCM version that is included in the media for Unix/Linux based operating systems?

    Description:

    To find out the ITCM agent version that is available on the downloaded install media for Unix based platforms
    (Linux, HPUX, Solaris, MAC or AIX).

    Solution:

    On the Unix system, please navigate to the directory where ITCM agent media is downloaded and type the following command.

    more library.dct | grep ca-dsm-caf

    The result will look like this: This shows that the Solaris agent downloaded is version 12.5.0.2307 (12.5)

    This will tell you the exact version of the ITCM agent that you have copied for the install from the master image media;
    this will be helpful during support or upgrade related issues.

    This command is valid for viewing the versions of all DSM/ITCM agent packages that are available under the
    UNIX based operating system folders from the master image download.

    The All Agents package is located in the folder named - Agent
    The Asset Management package is located in the folder named - AM_agent
    The Software Delivery package is located in the folder named - SD_agent
    The Basic Hardware Inventory package is located in the folder named - Basichwinv[size]
