Users unable to login after upgrade

Hi All,

Recently we have successfully upgraded from clarity 8.1_FP03 to 12.1.0.5840. Clarity users now complain that they cannot login using their old password. As far I know, I don't think an upgrade will affect the passwords. Is this the known issue pertaining to upgrade?

Please help me, as we will be upgrading the production in a week time.
