    Hi,

I am facing an issue that I don't recieve syslog messages. There is no issue with SNMP traps. I have followied the several guides but still no result. I think I most oversee something.

For certain platforms the amount of snmp traps is very limited so moving to syslog.

I have followed the guide Cisco Device Management Guide (5127), and as well Modeling Your IT Infrastructure Administrator Guide (5167). I have enabled Unmanaged Trap Discovery which should mean I should see the syslog messages under the events tab of the VNM. I am focussing on syslog traps being generated by cisoc switches, 3750,2950,6500.

Is there anybody that can perhaps point me in the right direction?

    Hi,
Did you configure your Cisco devices to send the syslog message as an SNMP trap?
    thx,
