CA Tuesday Tip: CAIENF r12 (FMID CAW1C00) and CA Scheduler r11.0

Discussion created by Kiki_Pham Employee on Jul 19, 2011
CA Scheduler requires that CAIENF run with a database. This means that CAIENF must be started without the NODB option. If CAIENF is started with the NODB option, after Scheduler starts recovering ENF events , Scheduler loops displaying some or all of the following messages:

CACM998I CA SCHEDULER ENF SUBTASK INITIALIZED AND ACTIVE
CACM906I RECOVERING ENF EVENTS FROM DATE=MM/DD/YY TIME=HH.MM.SS
CAS9332W SVC dump for task CAS9USRP suppressed by DAE
CAS9321E Symptom dump output for task CAS9USRP
CAS9322E Completion code=S0C4 , Reason code=00000010
CACM900E ENF ERROR: FUNCTION=LISTEN ,RC=00 DRC=00

CAIENF r12 apar number RO32426 must be applied follows by Scheduler apar RO32704 to detect if CAIENF r12 is running with the NODB option, and issue the
following message:

CACM962 CA ENF RUNNING WITHOUT A DATABASE

Reason: CA ENF was started with the NODB option.

Action: CA Scheduler shuts down. CAIENF r12 and above must run
with a database (without the NODB option). An ENF database is required for CA Scheduler recovery processing.
