The APM Script Recorder and a 404 Error

I am posting this Tuesday tip to save you time tracking down a fix to this subtle error. It has caught me a couple of times!

Sometimes one will receive a 404 (Page/File Not Found) error when trying to import a script into the TESS. There are a variety of reasons for this:

    1) You have the wrong IP address/hostname for the TESS.
    2) You are not using a CEM system administrator account so you do not have the needed system privileges.
    3) Although in APM 9 there is a default port, the port number MUST be specified. (Default is 8081). This is not documented in all versions.

Fixing the above causes should resolve this issue and the script should successfully import.

Hey Hal, thanks for the tips with CEM. Can I make a suggestion for future tips? I would love to hear your feedback on diagnosing issues with "Out of Order Bytes" and SSL decode issues.

    Thanks!
