Hello,  Has anyone had the need to run a forecast based on when the job is submitted?   We have subtm on all of our scheduled jobs.

have you tried the following command?  FJOB,FROM=(mmddyy,hhmm),SPAN=0006,JOB=*  This will forecast all the jobs spanning the next 6 hours if you replace the (mmddyy, hhmm) date and time parms.  hope this is what you were needing,Phon

Forecast does not reflect the SUBMIT time

Because there is no way that I know of to accurately display the submit time in a forecast, we set all our DOTM's at 10 minutes after the SBTM (which of course means your LDTM would be 0010) in the SCHD,JOB screen, such asDOTM LDTM SBTM
1610       0010   1600  Then, when we display the forecast, we simply subtract 10 minutes from the END DTTM and we know exactly when the job is schedule to submit.

As a 'best practice' I strongly suggest NOT using SUBMIT times--very seldom will the 'real' requirement be time.   Usually requirements are data or job related and should have the 'true' requirement.
