Help Automating Financial Cost Plan updates

We have cost plan created for all our projects, however looking for a job or a process that can be used to automatically update these without having to manually go into the Project/Financial Plan/Cost Plan to select 'Populate from Resource Plan' every time something changes on the project (ie., new resources/roles added, new timesheet entries posted, etc.).  Any info on how anyone may have automated the population of this so that we have a regular/real-time view of actuals/forecast effort/dollars by month by role for all our projects.
