Action Item Due Date

I have read all the threads related to action item emails and due dates, and I know how to set the default due date.   I can set the due date to anything I want when I create an action by clicking the "new" button. Is there a way to configure Clarity so I can set the due date in a process step that only affects that particular process? In other words, I'd like some process steps to use one due date, and others to use another due date?
