In PAM 3.x, when a user had a pending user interaction request, they were notified by the presence of a flashing icon in the bottom-right corner of the user interface. That functionality has since been removed in PAM 4.x. I am getting feedback from our users saying that this is a major problem for them: overseas users can have email deliveries delayed by up to 20 minutes in some cases, and therefore may not receive notification that they have a time-critical problem for a long time after we originally detect the issue.
Is there otherwise a way to build an interface which notifies the user that they have a pending notification? Our users are now concerned that failure to get one of these notifications is going to result in a blown maintenance window for a customer, and therefore a violation of our SLA.
