Can I perform SOA security testing using LISA?
Can you please elaborate on what exactly are your trying to test? Are you talking about Vulnerability testing for Web Services or are you talking about invoke and verify while security e.g. SSL etc are turned on?
I am trying to find what kind of vulnerability testing can be done for web services and whether they are suppiorted by LISA.
Hi, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by security testing, some thoughts:
If you would like to send some unusual web services payloads with LISA (invalid XMLs, invalid data, invalid web service definitions, etc) I think the best bet would be using the RAW SOAP Request step (but you might be able to use other SOAP steps for this also)
If you want to test security permissions, etc, you could use the Web Service Execution Step (or others) that has support for stuff like WS-Security
I wanted to know if there are some specific tests that should be run for testing web service security and if LISA supports them. Thanks in advance.
Powered by following capabilities CA Application Test can facilitate security testing.
Does this help?
I too had this question sometime back while I saw security testing with SOAPUI.
WS-I Basic Profile validationlink is no more in use. I am getting Page Not found error.
Invoke/Verify framework for Web Servicesis redirected to Administration guide section.
Coudl you please share the updated link.
