  • 1.  Oracle Applications Forms TNS Traffic via APM

    We are trying to work through a process now with our Oracle e-Business Suite, where we can track Forms traffic via APM.  We obviously see some of the traffic but once we break past the HTTP part we lose visibility.   I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck tracing the additional Forms data over the TNS protocol that Oracle uses for client to server communications from within the form itself.  I've started looking at including some of the Oracle components such as "oracle.forms.ui.*" into our Oracle Application Server PBD file.  But I don't think this is going to get everything we'd need to see.

     

    If anyone has some past experience here or some helpful insight I'd greatly appreciate it.

    I think we may have a FieldPack available. Let me check on this and report back.

     

    By the way, what version of APM and e-Business Suite are you using?

    However, the PLSQLLogReader field pack (in "Oracle e-business suite.zip") for gathering PL/SQL metrics is geared to mod_plsql which I don't think is used in r12 and later versions of Oracle eBiz.

    If you are using APM 9.x & Oracle eBiz r12, then the agent Oracle PowerPack/Extension may be a better option.

    Hello,

     

    We are currently using release R12 for Oracle e-Business and we are on release 9.5 for our APM solution.  I'd be interested to see what the field pack offers in the way of being able to expose some of the forms data.  We've been trying to track this down for a bit now but with no luck.
