Is it possible to have Apache Tomcat to work as Reverse Proxy?

Has anyone tried to set HTTPS to be redirected to some other URL but without overwriting the URL and without setting a proxy?

We've configured Clarity to be accessible only by https. The problem we encounter is that, although I could manage it to rewrite the URL, I'm not finding the way this re-written URL is not "hardcoded". I mean, I need to publish my server so it can be accessed from the internet as well as from our local network.

The correct question, I think, is if it is possible to have Apache Tomcat working as a Reverse Proxy.

I appreciate any thought!

Thanks!

Flo
