We have been onboarding few new teams and setting up their availabilities. We are unsure how the Resource Workloads portlet is calculating Availability Rate.
This is what we did:
1 - Created a new calendar - NEWCAL.
2 - Set the shifts in this new calendar so that its 7.5 hours/day. (8:00-12:00, 1:00-4:30)
3 - Updated a resource's base calendar to NEWCAL. Clarity updated the availability field on resource profile to 7.5 (It was 8 by default when the resource was created)
4- Went to the resource workloads portlet, and configured it. Configure -> Fields; In the Allocation field, selected Availability rate. Saved the change.
5 - In the Portlet Options, changed the work effort unit of measure to FTE.
When I go back to the portlet and filter for the resource, Clarity shows me 0.94 FTE. I would have expected 1. Why is it calculating FTE as 7.5/8. What do I need to change such that it shows 1 FTE.
