Nobody where I work has any detailed knowledge of SiteMinder and/or Identity Manager. That makes me the volunteer. Are there manuals or self-study guides for these products?
CA does offer some zero cost overview courses. Try these two searches:
Between the two of them, these links show a total of one (1) free, web-based presentation. And it's a very general overview. I was really hoping for something more substantive, or maybe directions on getting a manual or admin guide for these products.
What version of the products do you have? You should be able to find the bookshelf for Identity Manager - like this one CA IdentityMinder Bookshelf
Found one of free web based trainings for you, scotthill
CA SiteMinder® r12.5: Technical Overview (04SMR10030)
You may find more on other products at Free Web-Based Training - CA Technologies
Also, CA SiteMinder® Information Good Summary
Hope that helps you.
These aren't bad for a general overview. I guess the only way to get meaningful training is to cough up some serious money.
Later; I tried to go to CA SiteMinder® Information Good Summary, but the site rejected my password. I reset my password, and tried again and got a page that said An Unexpected Error Has Occurred.
I can't say I wasn't warned about CA, but I'm disappointed anyway.
there's the bookshelf for your veersion as s agood first stop.
To get a condensed, one-stop -shop for logging, ask them to update then provide the update of the logging spreadsheet they have.
If they play dumb just tell them Josh Perlmutter made it before leaving and left it with Rick Burnham and being about 18 months old it is due for an update and publication.
Josh - please send me a link to this bookshelf.
Also, I found the wiki for SiteMinder, so maybe I'll find everything I need here: https://wiki.ca.com/display/sm1252sp1/CA+SiteMinder+-+Source+Home
