Can anyone confirm what it means when a PAM Agent displays a blank status? We have recently upgraded to SP2 which came with a new Agent Console feature.

First of all, it takes a while to get statuses back from some of the agents. Then, when the 'get status' request eventually completes, some are reported as active, some as inactive while others have a blank status.

What does a blank status signify? Also, some of the ones reported as inactive have been found to be active and actually working fine. Can an explanation

for this behavior be provided please as it doesn't appear to be working correctly. Also, the statuses reported on the Agent Console don't match the

ones on the Configuration tab for the touchpoints associated with the agents.

    Thank You,

A blank field should only be shown for an agent that wasn't selected to get an updated status or the system is still processing that Agent and hasn't determined whether the agent is active or inactive.

The status for the Touchpoints no longer reflects the realtime active or inactive state of the agents associated with it but rather whether they are enabled or quarantined.  So as long as the Agents are enabled to execute operations the associated Touchpoints should be active.

Sounds like the behavior you are seeing may not reflect this in all cases so the best thing to do would be to open a support ticket so that our engineers could resolve whether the UI is behaving as designed or if something in your environment is causing an issue with the feature.

    Thanks,
