Clarity

Hi Experts,

Issue: The Project - Manager (auto) right is not getting added when a resource is selected in Project Manager field for a project.

Steps:

Go to properties page of a project.

Select a resource in the project manager field.

Click on resource link as shown below. Right has not been added.

What might me the problem?

Clarity version is 12.1 with Oracle and Tomcat.

I've seen something like this before (just once - but it was on project create that I saw it);

"something" has gone wrong in a project create and left a application "lock" in place - I can't offhand remember the name of the lock but if you go to the 'secret locks' page then you should see it immediately (clue : its not the project import ones, its something like "auto-rights"). Remove that lock from within that secret page and all should be well again.  You can also spot it on the PRLOCK table.

Is that one or more projects.

If it is not all then check there is locks on those projects.

Hi,

Normally this field is called "Manager" instead of "Project Manager".  Check in studio to see if the project manager field you are using is a custom field or if it is the manager field renamed.  The custom logic is attached to the manager field and would not work with custom fields.
