  • 1.  pdm_ldap_sync vs pdm_ldap_import

    Posted Oct 27, 2014 10:20 AM

Till now we were using pdm_ldap_sync to update contacts in SDM.

This command takes about 3 hours to complete whereas pdm_ldap_import takes 5-10 mins to complete.

Can pdm_ldap_import be used instead of pdm_ldap_sync?

Are there any negative impacts of using pdm_ldap_import?

Till now pdm_ldap_sync was being used. Will switching to pdm_ldap_import have any effects now?

    Hi Chirag

You can run the pdm_ldap_import command-line utility to create CA SDM contacts in batch mode using LDAP data.In addition to creating contacts, pdm_ldap_import updates existing contacts if they are not synchronized with their corresponding LDAP entries. So in short yes you can use pdm_ldap_import as I don't see any problems with that.
