Hope this makes sense. Does full integration with Siteminder require use of the Application protection model vs Domains, Realms, Rules, Policies?
This is my view....
I do not think the statement "Does full integration with siteminder require use of the EPM model as against the PolicyDomain model" is entirely correct.
IM integration with SM existed from a very long time, believe even before WAM UI was introduced in SiteMinder. However I would agree to the fact that in general EPM / Application model does provide a better representation of the Role Based Model.
There were quite a few defects which were fixed in 12.52 with regards to WAM UI and IM Integration using Policy Domain Model.
Therefore as you'd see with the traditional FSS UI i.e. the old Applet UI, IM Integration was facilitated by Policy Domain Model via FSS UI.
Hope some of these pointers help
Thanks. We are still on 12.0 SP3 and are still using the FSS UI to manage everything. We were just hit with the requirement to integrate IM within the next few months, and are trying wrap our heads around what this means as far as IM functionality and impact to our existing environment.
