Unified Self Service interface in 14.1

I would like to know the impression of the people who already tried this interface. For me it was a kind of disappointment because, this interface has his own logic that is separated from SDM logic. I did find the way to register an incident and interface did not responded to transition types that was configured in CA SDM. Maybe I am missing something, maybe catalog part is much better?
