Model not visible in ITAM

I just got a question from a customer, unfortunately I am not deep enough in ServiceDesk.


They created a new model in Service Desk, selected "Hardware" as familiy type and a corresponding class.

Now this new Model is not visible in ITAM, as the familiy_id is missing in the ca_model_def.


Is this "works as designed" or can they do some configuration, so this is done correcly and visible in both systems?
