Today, we are pleased to announce that CA Application Performance Management Release 9.7 Gen Level 0000 is now available

 

The following features are included in the CA Application Performance Management 9.7 release:

 

Ø  Smart Instrumentation: Smart Instrumentation has been extended to automatically provide deep call stack visibility into the performance of applications

o   Automatic Transaction Traces deliver deep call path visibility based on application errors and component response times

o   Stall Snapshots are provided with deep component visibility

o   Instrumentation level change doesn’t require agent/application restart

Ø  Webview charts and dashboard enhancements enable users to isolate problem areas more quickly

o   Console Lens can now display dashboards by specific sets of agents

o   Shapes and connectors can be added to Webview dashboards to help explain and illuminate data

o   Webview XML typeview contents can be added to dashboards

o   Standard metrics’ minimum and maximum data point values can be shown in a time series graph to identify outliers in metric spikes

o   Current data in a line graph exportable via snapshot to a comma-separated values CSV file

Ø  Customizable email notification messages, common email notification templates, and mail server connection security included in Webview SMTP mail action notifications

Ø  PHP agent for collecting and analyzing detailed performance information about PHP-based application transactions and the systems supporting them

o   Automatic frontend detection and monitoring

o   Deep transaction trace visibility

o   Custom instrumentation of the FrontendMarker, BlamePointTracer and BackendMarker

Ø Ø  Java 8 monitoring: APM is tested and validated for Java 8-based application monitoring

Ø  End User Endpoints Monitoring: common business transaction definition is used to monitor the performance of an end-user business transaction in context from the backend application perspective

o   Brings end point performance data into the APM AppMap, Investigator, and Transaction Traces in context of business transactions

Ø  High Performance Transaction Impact Monitor (TIM): the Transaction Impact Monitor now provides parallel processing functionality, enabling users to scale-up to handle as much traffic as the network card and CPUs can handle

Ø  Real Time Transaction Metrics (RTTM): provides real-time information about the end-user experience before that experience degrades to the point that an incident is created. Users can now organize their RTTM metrics by user group to capture more effective and meaningful business metrics
