    from NJ to Everyone:

can we start asking question(s) ? - NJ

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

please wait, this will start in a few minutes

    from NJ to Everyone:

    ok ....

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

    Good morning/afternoon all!

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

Wish you a happy new year!

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

    lets get started!

    from NJ to Everyone:

@NJ - what is the ETA for CA PPM 14.2 ?

    from NJ to Everyone:

@NJ - 14.2 was supposed to be available by Dec end (I suppose), but haven't heard of it, yet

from Ramesh Swaminathan (CA) to Everyone:

14.2 is now scheduled to be GA by the end of Q1CY2015

    from NJ to Everyone:

@NJ - oh, ok ... thnx for the info Ramesh

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

I'm unclear what type of questions may be asked here, with a reasonable expectation to get an answer.... who is on the chat from CA?

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

@Roberto, please refer to the slide for the kind of questions you can ask

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

    thanks for changing slide

    from Thomas Vikström to Everyone:

I'm unsure if this is the correct place to ask. Anyhow, is there any way we can track CAPA usage being an Ondemand Clarity customer?

    from NJ to Everyone:

    @NJ - Have you checked this thread ? - https://communities.ca.com/message/98257085#98257085

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

@Thomas, by usage, do you mean how many users are using CAPA material?

    from Thomas Vikström to Everyone:

yes, and which animations are being used most etc

    from Thomas Vikström to Everyone:

@NJ, the link did not provide information if this is possible with Ondemand or not

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

@Thomas, I will find out and get back to you on this

    from Thomas Vikström to Everyone:

    ok, thx

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

I hear that 14.2 will use Jaspersoft as a reporting engine.... will it be possible to schedule reports *and* have the output [PDF] sent via email?

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

that's currently not possible with BO, at least for On Demand customers.

    from Namita to Everyone:

@Roberto - Yes in JasperSoft you can schedule a report and send the report in PDF. For getting this the recipient need not be a Clarity user...

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

    @Namita - Thanks a lot, that's good news!

    from Namita to Everyone:

@Roberto there are other formats as well apart from pdf in which a report can be sent to the recipient

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - Yep, I've looked at JS and it looks cool.... but I could not find information about the specific point I asked, which is currently a source of pain for us....

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

so, like I said, good news, hope 14.2 really is out by the end of March

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

any idea when it will be available for OD?

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

@Roberto, a few weeks after it is GA, it will be avaiable for OD customers

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

    Thanks, Namita

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

    any more questions?

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

not from me, not for the time being

    from Thomas Vikström to Everyone:

not from our side either, thx :-)

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

we are here for few more minutes

    from Namita to Everyone:

@Roberto - Glad that you found JS cool. I am hearing similar feedback from different folks....You can drop me an email with the question and I will reply you...

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - Another question about JS... will it be possible to embed a JS report in a Clarity page, as if it were a portlet?

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - a bit like Xcelsius, but we are talking about a totally-different technology, of course...

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - question comes because we need to go beyond what Clarity portlet do, but I've kind of grown to dislike Xcelius... if similar portlets could be done with an alternate technology [and JS springs to mind] I would probably end up being a happier customer ....

    from Namita to Everyone:

@Roberto - Good question, Roberto...In this release  we do not have the facility to embed the JS report in Clarity.. However, JS has come up with visualize.js in  their next version which we are planning to support with next Clarity release. So the plan is to support JS report in the next Clarity release...

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - ok, I hope this comes soon, also because Xcelsius is a rather obsolete technology that will have serious problems living with system that have Office 2013 installed...

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

    thanks

    from Namita to Everyone:

    @Roberto - Correct, that's in our backlog.

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Namita - glad to hear that, thanks again!

    from Namita to Everyone:

    @Roberto - You are welcome!!!

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

    any more questions?

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Shyam - not of the kind that may be asked here ....

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:

@Roberto, you know how to reach me

    from Roberto Giuntoli to Everyone:

@Shyam - although we are ex-colleagues, I prefer to go through the standard support channels ...

from Shyam Beerakayala (CA) to Everyone:
