Ever wonder what a virtual flower looks like for Valentines?

Good thing we have VAPI to try it out.

Here is my virtual flower, cool thing is in less than 10 minutes I had my flower grown and ready to pick.  To pick the leaves of the flower to find out the letters messages on the petals use this URL (hosted by VAPI of course) https://vapi.ca.com/vapi/api/chriskraus/ValentineFlowers/flower/petals/1 and vary the petal from 1-7 to see the message.

When I created my virtual flower I was able to quickly test and see my response via the "try it now" function and could easily cut and paste the URL to my virtual valentines flower.Screen Shot 2015-02-13 at 12.21.57 PM.png

If you are a lucky valentine and have DevTest Solutions 8.0 - specifically the new Portal UI for API testing you can import the attached sample request/response pairs (flowerPetals.zip) and generate at test to get the answers quickly finding out what petals 1 to 7 have to say.  Attached is sample request response pairs to import to use with a base URL of https://vapi.ca.com/vapi/api/chriskraus/ValentineFlowers

If you are looking for more inspiration on what is happening in DevTest 8.0 check out Ian Kellyl  and his Valentine for "DevTest" to the Dev Test Team
