    Did you miss the Office Hours for CA PPM? Check out the chat below and be sure to join us for the next one in April!

    03/12/2015    10:00:49 AM    from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

      Hi All - We'll be starting in just a few minutes.

    03/12/2015    10:03:57 AM    from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

      OK. We're ready to start!

    03/12/2015    10:04:29 AM    from Atul Kunkulol to Everyone:

      Cost Plan (populating from Task Assignments and actuals) will pick the new resource class from resources instead of using the resource class which was captured in WIP. Is this expected behaviour?

    03/12/2015    10:05:04 AM    from David Morton to Everyone:

      OK I have a Q....   Support for Oracle 12c ; is that on the product roadmap at all?  (v11 is a bit old now isn't it?)

    03/12/2015    10:07:38 AM    from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone:

      @David: I've been looking at 12c in anticipation myself just personally, but nothing that I've seen yet by way of inclusion on the roadmap

    03/12/2015    10:08:30 AM    from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:

      @ Atul: Yes, WIP Records will hold the value that was captured at the time of the actual transaction posting.  Therefore, the 'planned' values are computed using the current value on the Resource, and 'Actuals' are computed based on what is in the WIP record (this has always been the functionality)

    03/12/2015    10:09:09 AM    from David Morton to Everyone:

      @Nick .... so not in (the increasing misleadingly named) "v14.2" then

    03/12/2015    10:10:33 AM    from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

      Ready for more questions folks. Don't be shy!

    03/12/2015    10:10:56 AM    from Atul Kunkulol to Everyone:

      @Kathryn. Thanks.

    03/12/2015    10:11:40 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      Hi all, good morning, I want to know isthere a connector at this moment for integrate CA PPM Clarity with SAP?

    03/12/2015    10:12:17 AM    from Atul Kunkulol to Everyone:

      PM and RM auto rights - Where is this documented? To change Cost Type, the PM needs edit financial rights. Is that correct?

    03/12/2015    10:13:55 AM    from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:

      @Atul - Checking location of documentation

    03/12/2015    10:16:28 AM    from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone:

      @Adriana, there is no OOTB solution for the integration, but CA Services have developed solutions for integration with SAP.

    03/12/2015    10:17:27 AM    from Debroop Dasgupta to Everyone:

      @Adriana - We have Packaged  Work Products (PWP) that support integrations

    03/12/2015    10:17:34 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Nika, ok thank you!  Is there something in the roadmap for connector?

    03/12/2015    10:18:29 AM    from Debroop Dasgupta to Everyone:

      @Adriana - The list of PWPs is available here - http://www.ca.com/us/~/media/Files/Add-OnServicesComponents/2012-CA-Clarity-PPM-PWP-Catalog.pdf

    03/12/2015    10:18:45 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Debroop, sounds great! Do you have more information about PWP?

    03/12/2015    10:19:41 AM    from Debroop Dasgupta to Everyone:

      @Adriana: Services has helped customers integrate with SAP (among other products) using PWPs for resource and financials

    03/12/2015    10:19:46 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Debroop, thank you!

    03/12/2015    10:21:22 AM    from Damon Logiudice (ca) to Everyone:

      @Atul With Kathryn's response, you will also want to see the Financial Mgmt Access Rights here: https://support.ca.com/cadocs/0/CA%20Clarity%20PPM%2013%203%2000%20%20On%20Premise%20-ENU/Bookshelf_Files/HTML/access/index.htm?toc.htm?2234092.html

    03/12/2015    10:21:54 AM    from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:

      @Atul - Check the Financial Management User Guide - it says you need the 'Edit Financial' type of access plus the 'Edit' rights to the Investment to change the Cost Type on the Task.

    03/12/2015    10:22:29 AM    from Debroop Dasgupta to Everyone:

      @Adriana: Do note that CA PPM On Demand 14.1 has an inbuilt integration adaptor for resource

    03/12/2015    10:24:14 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Debroop, ok that might be a solution   Thank you!

    03/12/2015    10:24:24 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      Hi all, wich is your recommendation about configure CA PPM Clarity for adapt a multi-tenant functionality?  I mean... maybe business units, partitions...  How it should be built the strcuture?

    03/12/2015    10:24:32 AM    from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:

    03/12/2015    10:30:24 AM    from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone:

      @Adriana : Clarity PPM is currently not supporting multitenant mode.  Concerning the business units and partitions : is your questions about how to organize the data? Please could you clarify.

    03/12/2015    10:30:50 AM    from Atul Kunkulol to Everyone:

      Will Dashboards be supported in Jaspersoft in 14.2?

    03/12/2015    10:31:09 AM    from Kate Holland to Everyone:

      @Janet it will be called 14.2

    03/12/2015    10:32:03 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Nika, abotu you mention in fact I have 2 questions:   1. Is there in the roadmap for Clarity a multi-tenant functionality?, and if there is not, how can we configure a separate clients in the same instance?

    03/12/2015    10:32:55 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Nika, and question 2: Wich is your advice for organize data?

    03/12/2015    10:34:04 AM    from Venita Truhan to Everyone:

      Will 14.2 contain any ootb reports similar to the current Crystal reports or should we plan to create all reporting ourselves using Jaspersoft?

    03/12/2015    10:34:53 AM    from Nick Darlington (CA) to Everyone:

      @Adriana: it should be treated single-tenant for separate 'clients', for business units within a client/customer, then the Studio Partitions are intended to be used to give you the ability to 'manage locally' (within each unit and have some local control over appearance and data) and 'govern globally' (by being able to report up within the system and apply downwards some consistency in requirements on data entry).  If this isn't appropriate to share an instance between the same clients, then separate installations/environments of Clarity should be performed.

    03/12/2015    10:35:34 AM    from Damon Logiudice (ca) to Everyone:

      @David Morton: Release Notes for 14.2 will be available next week (March 20) with the traditional CA Clarity PPM 14.2 Documentation Bookshelf. Look for announcements on the ca communities at ca.com.

    03/12/2015    10:35:47 AM    from David Morton to Everyone:

      @Damon - thanks!

    03/12/2015    10:37:46 AM    from Adriana Correa to Everyone:

      @Nick, ok I understand. Thank you

    03/12/2015    10:43:34 AM    from Nika Hadzhikidi (CA) to Everyone:

      @Venita : Yes 14.2 with Jaspersoft and PMO will contain OOTB reports similar to what is currently available in 13.3 as Crystal reports with CSP.

    03/12/2015    10:45:59 AM    from Venita Truhan to Everyone:

      @Nika,  Thanks.

    03/12/2015    10:46:52 AM    from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:
