snmptd - interface name in different PDU variables based on vendor that sources trap?

Hi,

if we take IF-MIB linkUp/linkDown snmp traps, we modified suppression key to include interface name based on PDU variable in snmptrap message (as example of suppression key: LinkState $4) in order to catch multiple interface flaps from same device at the same time in unique alarms.

This works as expected on Cisco equipment as PDU variable #4 is actual interface name.  However what we observed that other network equipment vendors (such as Juniper), have interface name as different PDU variable #.  This breaks expected operation :smileysad:

Any ideas how to adapt above logic to include multi-vendor support?

Thanks.
