Would need to monitor the oracle database installed in remote machine. Licenses are configured. please help me to proceed further. IM installed and all services are up.
If you navigate in the customer portal to the archive tab and find the oracle probe, there is an icon to the right that links to the help wiki. That will take you though the deployment requirements (depending on the host you are installing on there are some configuration prerequisites) and it will also explain how to configure it in general terms. Use the help documents - they're pretty good relatively speaking and will at least help you phrase more specific questions.
In all reality you can't just deploy the Oracle probe and hope it works. You need to understand what the probe is going to do and how to translate that into what you think warnings and errors are. Otherwise it will just give you a lot of useless network traffic.
Just want to add to the last thing Garin said. The first time we deployed and enabled the oracle probe with OOB (out-of-box) configuration, it generated 1000+ alarms on a single server.
So, just be prepared to have to do some tuning on the configuration.
