Anyone recently update and have issues with downloading or importing robot_update7.5 into their archive?
It shows up as robot_update 7.05 in the archive if you download from nimsoft archive. If you do a complete upgrade it shows as 7.50 in the archive. I did not have any issues downloading or importing.
Right... I did the upgrade but there was never a robot_update 7.50 in the archive, mind you this was last Friday, and if you try to download it from the archive (selecting robot_update 7.50) it asks if you want to overwrite 7.05. It's ok... Nimsoft knows about the bug and is looking to fix it. Thanks for the response.
The Product Information states:
2014-03-31 Version: 7.50 (GA)
Package that is included in the NMS 7.50 distribution. Note that this is a package version. The actual robot version is 7.05.
What a mess...
Is it Nimsoft or is CA like this in general, seems like basic QA processes are broken to me.
I specifically like how it shows as version 7.05 when you download it in Infrastructure Manager archive, but the "web version" column says latest is 7.50. Not confusing at all.
Not sure how well things are sent through QA.... I found another issue with dependancies and getting iostat working with the SDK_Perl package as well.
Nimsoft is a great tool... just wish things seemed at least a bit more tested prior to being pushed out.
We actaully found a bug in the new nas 4.32 where triggers don't work and in our case some ao profiles don't work at all like they are inactive or something downgrade to 4.20 fixed issue. Nimsoft has defect filed so I would expect a new nas release in the near future.
