Is it possible to get a list of all robots and the installed probes and their version?
The quickest and easiest way is the ASSETMGMT probe. It is installed on your primary server by default with later versions of NMS.
If you open it up, you can go to the Report tab and have a list of all probes currently installed with a count, then below a list of where they are installed and their version. The format is not the best, but dropping it into notepad and then importing it into excel can get you into columns that you can than sort and search.
You can have this report emailed to you on intervals if you'd like, but you have to go into Raw Configure and go to the Configuration section, then Mail and change the recp_addr to whom you want to receive it, and also set up the SMTP server. This probe does NOT use the EmailGTW probe, it sends it out itself.
Another way to do it, is using the ProbeReport.exe that installs when you install Infrastructure Manager. If you go to your <nimsoft>\bin directory you should find it there. The first button below file is: Probe Summary Report. When you click on it you should get a listing of all your hubs. You can multi select here to list them all, or just some, then hit OK. This will give you a list of all probes on those servers, including deactivated probes.
I'm not sure which will be easier for you, but both are pretty easy.
You can just use the nimsoft find tool from the tools drop down in Infrastructure Manager if using windows version. Just choose probes and it will go find all robots and probes in the domain.
