Has anyone implemented any single sign-on options in UMP for use with other portlets, such as a web portlet to a service desk or an online wiki?

    Sachin,

Your timing on this is pretty funny as I'm currently working through something identical with another prospect! :smileywink:

I personally don't have anything on this, however I think it might be time to ping Mark Smith on this email he sent out awhile back:

    Greetings Techies,

As part of the Unified Monitoring Portal (an enterprise portal based on

Liferay) we're developing, we need to provide single sign-on integrations.

So we need to understand what are the SSO infrastructures most often seen in customer environments. Some example SSO configurations are:

    • Kerberos ticket-granting ticket (TGT) which Windows provides using Active Directory, and Unix provides using PAM
    • One-Time Password (OTP) tokens
    • Central Authentication Service (CAS)
    • JOSSO an open source SSO server
    • OpenSSO

Any insight you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Dustin
